Luggage…

When you check your luggage at the airport it is a roulette game of when you will receive it on the claim belt. If you are early and first to check your bag will it appear first? OR if you check your bag last will it appear first? Does it just depend on how it is stacked on the little trucks that take the bags to the aircraft and off? If there was a science to getting your bag first from the baggage claim someone tell me. HA! Who knows, but waiting ages for a bag to appear can be quite frustrating! And Have had moments where it was one of the last ones to appear but you think they lost it.

About roryhughes

Rory was born in Pittsburgh, PA on the Rockwell Stage of the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Just kidding!!! He went to the conservatory program at the Pittsburgh Playhouse under direction of Kenneth Gargaro. One of his nicknames, Rormyster, was born there and it has stuck with him ever since. His love for theater began when he was 2 years old. His parents took him to see a Gilbert and Sullivan production with the Pittsburgh Savoyards. He became completely still watching the craft onstage. He was mesmerized by it and was hooked since then. It wasn’t till he performed in a production of Evita at the Pittsburgh Playhouse that he truly fell in love with being on stage and bringing joy to an audience. He attended high school at the Winchester Thurston School. The Arts department there was extremely encouraging. While at Winchester Thurston, Rory performed in high school productions, one act plays, and sang in the chorus. He also attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School of the Arts, specializing in Jazz dance. After high school he attended Syracuse University. He went and graduated with a BFA in musical theater and met some of the most amazing people in his life. He appreciated what college gave but he was also happy to graduate and begin his career! On the way to New York to pursue his dreams, he performed at the Shawnee Playhouse in Man Of LaMancha, Carousel Dinner Theatre in West Side Story, West Virginia Public Theatre in Cinderella, and Pittsburgh Musical Theatre in Joseph… and The Who’s Tommy. A brief stint in New York led him to a year of traveling the world aboard Cunard’s QE2, performing to the delight of many passengers. Upon returning to New York, Rory made his Lincoln Center debut in Peter and the Wolf. His off-off Broadway credits include Cowboys! The Musical, and The Greatest Holiday Musical Ever. In 2009-1010 he opened the minds of young artists by teaching dance at Studio D Dance Educators, in Rhinebeck, New York. In October 2010, He moved to Dublin Ireland to experience different culture and travel some through Europe. It was a big risk and move but it has turned out to be so great being able to take his Melaleuca wellness business with him and meet new people. Since he arrived he performed on the Olympia Theater in Alternative Miss Ireland and every Thursday he choreographs and dances with drag queen Davina Devine.
